Santé Publique France reports a surge in Campylobacter infections in 2022, with 60 outbreaks identified, totaling 9,160 strains of Campylobacter, particularly Campylobacter jejuni.

Preventive measures focus on good kitchen hygiene practices, including thorough handwashing, proper cleaning of surfaces and utensils after handling poultry or raw meat, and ensuring the proper cooking of poultry, beef, and pork.

The study suggests an increase in Campylobacter since 2013, emphasizing the need for vigilant surveillance and adherence to preventive measures. Campylobacter fetus infections, especially in older and immunocompromised individuals, present challenges, highlighting the importance of appropriate antimicrobial therapy.
